We design a sustainable future.

MISSION

Our mission is to harness brilliant minds of University of Washington students to engineer innovative transit solutions.

We are currently building a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) that robustly excavates tunnel where Hyperloop can travel.

Our goal is to construct TBM 1 that will participate in a 2025 mini-compeititions and 2026 Not a Boring competition.

Vision

Our vision is to strive for a sustainable society by designing rapid transit systems by constructing a Tunnel Boring Machine.

We train and enhance our future engineers through solving various engineering problems ahead and gaining unique hands-on experiences.

Our Innovative Solution

Tunnel Boring Machine

Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM): A large drilling machine used to excavate tunnels. They work continuously, with fast pace progression and withouth the disruption to the surrounding environment.

In order to excavate through hard rock, wet or dry soil, or sand, it requires a specialized technology. Hence, our cross-functional teams are continuously studying the best design and mechanism in order to build a resilient TBM that is efficient, and effective.
